Support Needed for California Wildfire Relief

Fierce wildfires continue to burn in the greater Los Angeles area, claiming at least 25 lives, destroying over 12,000 structures, and forcing approximately 88,000 residents to evacuate. The Palisades Fire has become one of the most destructive in the region’s history, scorching over 5,000 acres. Firefighters, including teams from across the U.S. and abroad, are battling several major blazes under extreme conditions fueled by Santa Ana winds and low humidity. Though containment efforts are ongoing, economic losses have reached an estimated $250 billion, with recovery expected to take years.

As climate-driven disasters like these become more frequent, CHC’s Hope and Resilience Fund is stepping up to support communities in need. Through this fund, we provide grants to nonprofit organizations that directly address the immediate and long-term needs of those affected by these tragedies.
