Cuts to the program are currently being considered. CHC stands firmly against these proposals and urges action to protect this vital lifeline. Andrea speaks of being a special needs mom and the critical care that Medicaid has made possible for her son.

Medicaid is an essential service to communities across the US. About 63% of people in nursing homes depend on Medicaid for long-term care. More than 40% of adults (18-64) living with disabilities are covered by Medicaid.
