Dr. Jean Accius is a transformational executive, strategist, and thought leader with over 25 years of experience driving systemic change at the intersection of business, health, and social impact. He has dedicated his career to breaking down barriers to health, expanding access and opportunity, and building cross-sector collaborations that empower communities to thrive.

As President & CEO of CHC: Creating Healthier Communities, Dr. Accius leads a high-performing organization partnering with 650+ businesses and 5,000 nonprofits, reaching over 17 million employees and families. Under his leadership, CHC has achieved national and global recognition, including The Silicon Review® “50 Best Companies to Watch” and Real Leaders Top Impact Company, joining iconic brands like Patagonia and Johnson & Johnson.

Dr. Accius is a two-time Influential Marylander (2019, 2025), a Next Avenue Influencer in Aging, a 2025 Baldrige Executive Fellow, and recipient of the 2024 President’s Lifetime Achievement Award. He serves on multiple boards and is a member of the AAMC Center for Health Justice multisector partner group, advancing aligned strategies to eliminate health inequities nationwide.

A sought-after speaker and advisor, Dr. Accius has engaged leaders at the World Economic Forum, the United Nations, and across industries worldwide. He is a certified director with the National Association of Corporate Directors and is a graduate of prestigious executive programs at Harvard, Stanford, UNC Law, and Santa Clara University, and holds a Ph.D. from American University and master’s and bachelor’s degrees from Florida State University.

Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

LeeAnn Yang serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at CHC: Creating Healthier Communities. With over two decades of experience in finance and operations across nonprofit and private sectors, LeeAnn brings strategic vision and operational excellence to CHC’s leadership team.

Since joining CHC in 2019, LeeAnn has led transformative initiatives that strengthened the organization’s financial infrastructure. She has built a high-performing finance team, streamlined accounting processes, and reinforced governance practices through her role as liaison to the Board Finance and Audit & Risk Committees.

Her leadership has supported CHC’s strategic growth, including the launch of major initiatives such as the $7 million Black Birthing Initiative. LeeAnn’s financial stewardship has enabled improved reporting accuracy, operational efficiency, and alignment of financial strategy with CHC’s mission to advance health equity.

LeeAnn holds a Master of Arts in Business Management, Accounting and Finance from The Catholic University of America and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and the Maryland Association of CPAs (MACPA). Her commitment to continuous learning is reflected in her completion of executive programs in strategic finance, operations management, and leadership, as well as a 2024–2025 Certification in Entrepreneur and Innovation from Harvard Business School Online.

Executive Vice President & Chief Social Impact Officer

Dr. Mya O. Price serves as Executive Vice President & Chief Social Impact Officer at Creating Healthier Communities (CHC), where she leads the organization’s national social impact strategy. In this role, she oversees programs, partnerships, policy engagement, and leadership initiatives designed to strengthen community well-being and advance lasting, measurable change.

A nationally recognized social impact leader, Dr. Price brings extensive experience building and scaling cross-sector initiatives that unite philanthropy, corporate partners, government, and grassroots organizations. She is known for translating community-informed insights into actionable strategies that deliver measurable outcomes and sustained investment.

Prior to joining CHC, Dr. Price served as President and CEO of the Root Cause Coalition and held national leadership roles at Feeding America, where she founded and scaled a multi-million-dollar impact fund supporting more than 75 community-based organizations across the country. She also served as a founding Assistant Professor at The George Washington University Global Food Institute, where her work focused on policy, systems transformation, and sustainable community solutions.

Throughout her career, Dr. Price has built theory-of-change frameworks, evaluation systems, and donor engagement strategies that align mission, measurement, and investment. She is widely respected for her ability to convene diverse stakeholders, center community voice in decision-making, and move complex initiatives from vision to execution.

Dr. Price holds a Ph.D. in Urban Leadership & Entrepreneurship from the University of the District of Columbia and a master’s degree in Community & Leadership Development from the University of Kentucky.
