Now is the time for radical generosity

Families and communities across our nation continue to struggle. The last three years have been extremely difficult. The global pandemic turned our world upside down. Families are feeling the pressure from health challenges plus ongoing volatility from inflation and global conflicts. Meanwhile, the needs among communities — and the nonprofits that support them — are urgent and growing by the day.

Every year, the Combined Federal Campaign is one of the largest workplace giving campaigns in the world, with 10 million eligible participants from the federal government, military and retirees. In 2022, these generous donors pledged more than $70 million. These funds are critically important to more than 4,800 charitable organizations in communities here and around the world.

Whether it’s fall giving campaigns at companies large or small, Giving Tuesday or the holiday season and end-of-year giving, these next few months are historically those when we give thanks for our blessings and give back. This is critical for community-based organizations who depend on our generosity. December giving alone accounts for 25% of what most nonprofits raise all year.
