iHire, LLC Increases Giving by more than 200%

With less than 100 employees, iHire, LLC raised more than $15,000 last month, increasing giving by more than $10,000 from the prior year. How did they do it? This talent recruitment agency in Frederick, Maryland significantly grew their impact by making one pivotal change to their workplace giving campaign: they surveyed employees about their interests. To make their campaign more inclusive, they encouraged employees to share their nonprofit passions and recommend organizations to include in the campaign.

“Reaching out to employees to find out what charities are near and dear to their heart was not only pivotal in raising money, but it really helped their engagement and made them feel like we, as a company, really cared about what they value,” shared Marie Burnett, campaign coordinator and iHire Office Manager. “The amount of feedback received was as impressive as the amount of money raised.”

iHire’s campaign change helped engage their remote employees in different states as well, with select nonprofits from Ohio, North Carolina, New York, and Indiana included as giving options. Keeping up with workplace giving best practices is not new to iHire, LLC as they also use CHC’s online giving platform and provide a company match. CHC and iHire are already looking forward to next year’s campaign.
