Chickasaw Nation and Telligen Support American Indian Health

Thank you to the Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma and Telligen (Telligen Community Initiative) which both provided $50,000 to CHC for American Indian health. This combined $100,000 gift will support mental health and substance use disorder programs within the Chickasaw Nation, culminating in a forum with community groups during Native American Heritage Month in November.

Creating Healthier Communities: American Indian Health

American Indians/First Americans continue to die at higher rates than other Americans in many categories of preventable illness and are three times as likely to die from a drug overdose. CHC has been working with American Indians for years, partnering with the Southern Plains Tribal Health Board, creating the American Indian Health Fund, partnering to increase vaccinations, plus other events, programs and initiatives.
