CHC Partner Tolomatic Holds Three Volunteer Shifts Benefiting Wayside Recovery Center

On Wednesday, January 24th, Tolomatic, a company that designs, engineers, and manufactures linear actuators located in Hamel, MN, held three volunteer shifts benefiting Wayside Recovery Center, an organization whose mission is to break the cycle of addiction and trauma for women, children and families. The project consisted of putting together 350 Hygiene kits for Women and the 50 Comfort Kits for Kids.

Items included in the kits include basic hygiene items including eye masks, hair scrunchies and bonnets, backpacks and dental care items for women and toys and fidget items for children. Wayside Recovery Center has become an expert in delivering gender-specific and trauma-informed substance use disorder treatment and mental health services for women and their families. Wayside Recovery Center serves over 700 women and their 300 children annually. As women are establishing their new life in recovery, they need many basic needs’ items during and after treatment.
