CHC: Creating Healthier Communities Recognized as “Best Company to Watch” in 2023

The Silicon Review® honors CHC for innovation and impact as one of 50 best companies to watch in 2023

Alexandria, VA (7/20/23) – Today, CHC: Creating Healthier Communities announced that The Silicon Review® recognized CHC as one of “50 Best Companies to Watch” for 2023. This award recognizes select organizations and highlights shared characteristics for success including consistent effort, ongoing innovation, and strategic planning. CHC was one of only a handful of nonprofits featured.

“CHC is indeed an organization to watch,” said Dr. Jean Accius, CHC president and CEO. “For nearly 70 years, CHC has been bringing nonprofits, businesses, and communities together around a shared commitment to better health and wellbeing and addressing the barriers to equity. Together, we are working hard to close the longevity gap, eliminate disparities, ensuring every person has equal access to opportunity, and bringing people in from the margins, to work together to build a more equitable and inclusive society. We’re rolling up our sleeves and partnering, community by community. And we won’t stop until no one experiences inequities.”

Check out the full list of “50 best companies to watch” as well as the feature interview about CHC. CHC supports more than 5,000 nonprofits annually plus has collaborative, trusted partnerships with hundreds of businesses, foundations, government entities and community-based organizations. The organization advances health equity through programs, community and volunteer engagement, fundraising, awareness, and support services. Health inequities cost $320 billion annually (WEF/Deloitte) and CHC is committed to finding common ground and bringing people together to solve these challenges.

“I couldn’t be prouder of this organization,” said Adam Rothschild, CHC board chair. “I’ve seen CHC evolve rapidly over the past few years into a major player and influencer in health equity. The future is bright for this organization and its partners in communities across the country. Together, we truly can help create healthier communities for all people.”

Earlier this year, CHC’s successful strategic transformation was highlighted in an independent case study, “10 Lessons in Organizational Transformation,” by the BBB Wise Giving Alliance.

“This important work requires co-creation and collaboration at all levels,” said Accius. “This is a clarion call for businesses—and all organizations—to come together with a common purpose to advance health equity,” said Accius. We invite business, government, and community leaders to join us. The time is now to take action for health equity for everyone.”
