Take a Break for Employee Mental Health

Our nonprofit partner Mental Health America reports that the number of individuals looking for help with anxiety and depression skyrocketed over the last year. The loneliness, stress, and isolation caused by the pandemic and other challenges have further exacerbated the struggles with mental health in America.

As part of CHC’s commitment to addressing the barriers to good health and equity, CHC offers mental health breaks and resources to companies and their employees. Examples include:

  • PhilanthroBreaks: Our “breaks with a purpose” provide employees with time to focus on wellbeing with a speaker and focused topic. As an example, Liberty Diversified International (LDI) hosted three Philanthrobreaks™ for senior care facilities and support staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. While working with CHC and our partners National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and  Suicide Awareness Voices of Education, LDI provided healthy snacks while offering tips on mental wellbeing, dealing with anxiety and depression, managing stress and grief, and finding support.
  • Health and Wellness Guide and resources: You’ll find a robust list of health and mental health activities and resources for your employees, plus additional health resources from thousands of our trusted nonprofit partners. We also offer a year-round employee engagement guide and can provide engagement materials, speakers, in-person or virtual volunteer events, curated content, and much more. Just contact info@chcimpact.org.
