Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) Updates

GREAT News for the CFC: 2025 Giving Campaign Resumes

Combined Federal Campaign Resumes Thanks to Swift Action

Nearly two weeks ago, we shared the urgent news that all work on the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) had been stopped, putting the future of the program and the millions it directs to nonprofits at risk. Today we are pleased to share positive news that contractors on the CFC have been directed to resume work on the 2025 campaign. This means the campaign is likely to launch as initially planned on October 1, 2025.

Learn more about these developments here. We are deeply grateful to our nonprofit partners who raised their voices and took action. Your commitment and collaboration demonstrate the strength of our network, and we are proud to stand alongside you.

While this is an important step forward, our work is not done. CHC is collaborating with a coalition to ensure this year’s campaign is a success and to protect the future of the CFC in 2026 and beyond.  Your support is critical in making this year as meaningful as possible.

Here are the next steps:

  • Contact the Director of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Scott Kupor, to express gratitude for choosing to continue this campaign. His email address is kupors14@opm.gov or Director.Kupor@opm.gov. If you connected with policymakers, please follow up with them to thank them for their leadership. CHC has provided messaging for you to use in these efforts.
  • Share the news! CHC is preparing a short video message from our CEO, Dr. Jean Accius, thanking OPM and administrative leadership for continuing to support the CFC. CHC will share this on social media and with our audiences on other platforms. We invite our nonprofit partners to join us in this effort.
  • Resume promotions and preparations for the 2025 campaign. CHC will continue to keep our partners updated on any developments. In the coming week, you will receive a toolkit to help you in your efforts.
  • Prepare for 2026. Although we have much to celebrate with this year’s campaign, we must continue to leverage our collective voice. Stay connected with CHC and make sure all contact information for your nonprofit is updated.

The Honorable Director Kupor

Dear Director Kupor,

On behalf of [Your Organization], I want to extend our sincere gratitude for your leadership in resuming the 2025 Combined Federal Campaign. Your decision protects one of our nation’s longest-running traditions of service, generosity, and community building.

Since its founding in 1961, the CFC has directed more than $9 billion to nonprofits like ours, strengthening communities across the country and around the world. More than a giving platform, it is a proven public-private partnership that reflects America’s tradition of service, community, and philanthropy, while also shaping the modern nonprofit movement.

Because of the CFC, [insert your nonprofit’s unique story, e.g.: “local children with rare diseases can access life-saving care” or “veterans in our community have access to vital mental health support.”] Your decision to continue the campaign ensures that these essential services can carry forward.

As our nation approaches the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, your action demonstrates a collective commitment to civic responsibility and healthier communities for all.

Thank you again for preserving the future of the Combined Federal Campaign. We are proud to join you in carrying forward this remarkable legacy.

With gratitude,
