CHC Chief Communications Officer Speaks at National Social Media Conference

CHC’s Chief Communications and Strategy Officer Amanda Ponzar recently presented at the national Social Media Conference, presented by Ragan Communications and PR Daily. The conference took place on September 21-23, 2022, at Walt Disney World in Orlando, and featured keynotes and presentations from leaders in communications strategy from organizations such as General Mills, Pinterest, Southwest Airlines, Volkswagen, LinkedIn, TikTok, Intel, QVC, and more.

Ponzar’s presentation, full of CHC social media examples, focused on the rise of the employee influencer, including how to turn employees into brand ambassadors and micro-influencers, how to train employees on social media best practices, what content to share, how to measure success, and pitfalls to avoid.

“Social media is essential for elevating our health equity work, partnerships and programs here at CHC,” said Ponzar. “People trust people, and employees are seen as much more relatable and human. In fact, messages are reshared twenty-four times more through employee accounts versus corporate brand social media accounts.”

In advance of the presentation, Ragan and PR Daily shared an interview with Ponzar on the topic of engaging employees as influencers.
