IMPORTANT UPDATE: Fee Provision is DROPPED from the Senate Bill

We have an encouraging update on the proposed fee that would affect the Combined Federal Campaign.

As of this weekend, all workplace giving provisions—including the proposed 10% fee on payroll deductions—have been removed from the Senate reconciliation bill. While we can’t fully rule out the possibility of an amendment, this is a significant step forward.

This progress would not have been possible without your swift action, engagement, and voice. Your partnership helped demonstrate the collective strength and unity of the nonprofit sector—and its vital connection to the Combined Federal Campaign.

As a reminder of the issue, all nonprofits that participate in the CFC could have been affected by a proposed change in the Senate reconciliation bill. Section 90104 would have imposed a 10% fee on all payroll deductions directed to 501(c)(3), (4), and (5) organizations. If the language moved forward as proposed, there could have been a 10% skim off the top of donations made through the CFC.

We’ll continue to monitor the situation closely and keep you informed of any new developments. For now, we want to extend our deep thanks for standing with us.
